About Us

The Material Girls Quilts was opened by Nadine Woodraska in November 2005. With only 300 bolts of fabric to fill a space of 1800 sq. ft. the thought of outgrowing the shop seemed years away. But like any quilters stash...it didn't take long!! After being in business for only two years plans were in the works for a bigger space. The shop now consists of more than 4000 sq. ft. with over 4,000 bolts of fabric and just as many patterns it's hard to believe we are still growing. We appeal to every quilter - whether it's wool, punch needle, embroidery, trendy fabrics, civil war or 30's prints ...we have it! In addition to the bigger shop we now have an amazing classroom where we host quilt guilds, late night sews and of course several classes every month.
